Scion A/V Presents: AZARI & III - INTO THE NIGHT

Azari & III - Into The Night

In the less than a year, Azari & III have become sensations in the dance music world with songs like “Reckless (With Your Love)” and “Hungry For the Power.” Now they contribute “Into The Night” to the Scion A/V: Remix series, building on their rep as both disciples and leaders of the Chicago house music tradition…even though they come from Canada. The song’s five remixers all elongate “Into The Night,” sometimes to epic proportions, taking it all the way to the early morning hours.

1. “Into The Night (Original)”

“Into the Night” is another exhilarating dancefloor love song from Azari & III, where the subject of affection/desperation can be interpreted as an unnamed partner, the nightlife or maybe the song itself. Things are going to get emotional in the club.

2. “Into The Night (Prince Language Remix)”

Prince Language keeps the original’s ’80s flavor, but rides “Into The Night” through the five boroughs of his native New York. Shades of Latin freestyle and the euphoric club scene make this remix feel more like a celebratory montage of a decade’s best moments rather than a wistful look backwards.

3. “Into The Night (Renaissance Man Extended Mix)”

Finnish duo Renaissance Man have already released music on some of Europe’s most vital and respected dance music labels—Made to Play, Kitsuné, Sound Pellegrino, Dubsided—and this ten minute remix shows what’s got the continent so keen on them. For the first half of this extended mix, the mood is kept subdued and tempting, but after it grinds down at the midpoint, it emerges darker and with its mystery still preserved.

4. “Into The Night (CFCF Remix)”

CFCF not only brings some serious electric guitar to his remix of “Into The Night,” but doubles up on gut-buster bass and bongo bounce. Put your headphones on and hit the streets with this playing through your brain and you might think you’re bulletproof. So so tough.

5. “Into The Night (Nicolas Jaar Remix)”

This incredibly mature approach from young producer Nicolas Jaar undercuts the confidence of “Into the Night” with sentimental piano playing and stark vocal treatments before taking the remix into an even deeper meditative state. How do you like to see your sunrises, as the end of the night or the start of a new day?

6. “Into The Night (Troxler, Masomenos & Jaw - Live In Paris Mix)”

Now here’s something completely different. Troxler, Masomenos & Jaw’s interpretation of “Into The Night” sounds as if the song was transmitted to another dimension, then beamed back imprinted with cryptograms and alien technology. This is the sound of deep mind science.
